The lore of our Petz and Gameplay! Its...kinda dark, but is based on our real life beliefs and headcanons.

Chapter 1: The Endless Mansion

No one knows where they are anymore. The hallways are full of strange, strange rooms. Many Petz have been wandering for months, years, and yet most haven't made their way out. Its sometimes terrifying to the Petz who found their way here. It is their home now, no matter what this place is; do they have a choice?

The Petz are taking it surprisingly well. Most lack memories of what it was like before, and the others have faded memories that can't be confirmed; they might be false memories to fill in gaps. Its easy to cope if you have a bunch of friends and endless rooms to explore.

Sometimes, Babyz show up. The Petz take it upon themselves to watch over them. They are more concerned with being alive and existing more than anything. They are as aware as, for example, the babies from Rugrats; able to speak and go on little adventures. They are able to talk to the Petz.

The rooms are decorated when the Petz are not around. Sometimes they take a peak from "the case," but rarely, until its done, they don't get out as they tend to move things around by running too much.

Chapter 2: Escape?

According to some who have managed to escape for a while, you need to join "a system from the Overworld" named "Forestwalk" to escape, but yet, you will be stuck in a body that is not your own, observing for the rest of this body's life, rarely coming out to speak and to do their own things. Most of it is due to the lack of time that the body has and the "host's" unwillingness to share it.

These Petz get a new title: Headmate.

They also claim to earn a "collective memory" of the other Headmates. The Headmates of the body theorize of an afterlife, mainly of "all of them are valid, that believing in one makes it as valid as the rest," but they won't know for sure until the body dies. This could take decades...

After becoming one of the "headmates," you will be free, but will be observing most of the world until a program, "Petz 4.exe" runs. Then, you will return to the Mansion and be their old self, but its fleeting.

When you aren't thought of, you lose the ability to exist for that timeframe. You will start to exist once you are thought of again.

The more The Mansion is explored, the more likely they are to join Forestwalk.

Chapter 3: The Website and Other Petz Players

The Petz who heard from the Headmates have informed them of a website, named, fittingly, "ForestPetz," and a place to chat with "other Petz players," named Discord. Its rumored that their adventures are logged on Discord and everything they know about the Petz is shared on there. The Petz don't tend to mind this, however.

Sometimes, Forestwalk finds more Petz to bring into The Mansion from these "Petz Players."

The Headmates are able to sometimes interact with the Petz Players, but Forestwalk isn't close to anyone in partiular.

Chapter 4: Exploration and The Rooms

We know who created certain rooms: they were works of The Petz Players. Images cannot be shown as that is not allowed by the Petz Players ((we cannot remember where each playscene is from to be able to properly credit. :()), so we can only describe them.

The Living Room

At the very center of The Mansion lies a room that looks like a living room. It is the room that is decorated the most and that the most Petz visit.

It tends to be decorated for certain seasons or occasions. Its where most Petz end up when they join too.

The Closes Closet

Close to the Living Room but a little to the left, its where Petz dress themselves up.

There is an infinite amount of each clothing, so they do not have to worry about not having enough to leave for the next Pet who visits. It does not get decorated and it is rumored to have things made by other Petz Players.

The Toyz Room

Close to the Living Room but a little to the right, its where both Petz and the myserious room decorator get their items. The items are put in "the case" and are brought to each room. But the space in the case is limited, so whoever wants to bring items from The Toyz Room have to get items from the Room, move to the room they want the items and place them, and head back to get more.

There is an infinite amount of each item, so they do not have to worry about not having enough to leave for the next Pet who visits. It does not get decorated and it is rumored to have things made by other Petz Players.

More to be documented with time...
